Colorado high school MTB skills clinic No. 1

On Saturday I taught a bunch of Colorado high school kids and their coaches how to ride safer/better/faster. This was the first official event of the Colorado High School Cycling League.

Yes: We are teaching high school athletes how to rip on bikes. The revolution is on, baby, ON!

Mission: Give a bunch of high school riders and coaches the keys to mountain bike braaapitude.

Attendees: We had 17 kids from throughout northern Colorado, the Lyons and Boulder coaches, and National Interscholastic Cycling Association founder/director Matt Fritzinger. I am the NICA skills development director, and Matt is my client/boss. The pressure was on!

Skills covered: Position, braking, cornering, pumping and riding up and down stuff. With those arrows in your quiver, you’re ready to start rocking.
