Off to Keystone

6 a.m. — Taking off to import and place dirt for the temporary pump track at Keystone. I have an awesome crew coming up to shape/pack/ride tomorrow. This is going to be sweet! As for you: Heavy feet, light hands!

The Twins: 28 weeks and dialed

We’re visiting the OB every two weeks. Mom is feeling better, and the babies are well within spec. The baby shower is this Sunday (after I build the Keystone pump track). I’ve already bought the equivalent of an S-Works Enduro at Babies R Us. Working hard, filling the checking account, gathering stuff, getting ready.

Dude, this weekend was not meant to happen. We were rolling down Berthoud Pass into Winter Park this morning — all good — and a deer appeared out of nowhere. Too late to swerve the Sprinter. Pulverized deer, smashed headlight, leaking radiator. Pull over. Call for a tow. Back home before 1 p.m.
