Hey Lee,
I just bought a 2010 Specialized Enduro Expert. I’ve been looking into a few different options to drop a little weight. I’d like to get it under 30 lbs. Right now it weighs about 32. One of the options I was considering was swapping the Lyrik 160mm fork for a Revelation 150mm or a Fox Talas 32 150mm, which would instantly drop a pound off the bike. This bike is designed around a 160mm fork, so I was wondering what changes I could expect if I did swap the fork out, positives and negatives.
Thanks for your help!

… preparations are being made for Sea Otter …
I just spent three hours digging around for the lid to my septic tank. You know I’m only doing that because sewage is backing up into my house.
This training session targeted anxiety, core stability and strength endurance. Perfect prep for building the Sea Otter pro pump track (and hopefully racing too).
Rock.
Hey all, registration is up for my April 23 clinic at the Ranchstyle in Grand Junction.
It’s going to be a great time.

Just sent the draft Sea Otter pro-only pump track design in for review.
Imagine taking one lap to gain speed, then crossing the timing wands:
I got hired to design/build the pro-only pump track at Sea Otter!
Stoked! This track is for top pro riders only. They’ll do a time trial for $$$.
I have some ideas, but I’m curious:
What features do you think this track should have?
Also: I’ll need help building/riding the weekend before Sea Otter. I pay cash. Who’s interested?
Hey all, James has significantly upgraded his proven dumbbell workout program, and he’s extending a big discount to LeeLikesBikes readers and members of the Pump Track Nation.
Retail price: $27
Sale price: $15

Whipped out a user interface for a securitization document sharing application,
fed babies,
finished redesigning a commercial mortgage origination application,
kissed babies,
submitted a contract to build the Sea Otter pro pump track,
carried babies,
wrangled feedback for a new high school mountain bike racing website,
sang to babies,
edited photo credits for Mastering Mountain Bike Skills 2nd Edition,
rescued Ian after he got stuck in the snow,
helped put babies to sleep,
did two 10-minute strength circuits framed by three 10-minute trainer intervals,

Now it’s time to hang with The Wife.
Sleep (not too long). Repeat.
… crank out 10 burpees.
Whew! That feels better.
Gear related question: How does the new Stumpy compare to the Enduros of yesteryear? 2003 vintage, and 2005-6 vintage? I know you’ve rawcked them all, and I’m wondering where the new Stumpy fits in, particularly on the strength/durability side.

Stoked: I’ll be teaching a clinic at the Ranchstyle event in Grand Junction, CO on Friday, April 23.
This is a great chance to learn some new bike fu — and ride some sweet private terrain.
Come on out!
