Today’s hare scramble: not fast enough

Hey Lee.
I was wondering if you had any suggestions for a 14 year old girl, 5’7″, 140 lbs. pump track and free ride bikes. We kind of have a budget and can’t get too expensive. What bikes would you recommend?
And also, would a 20×30 space work for a small practice pump track? Or would we have to find a larger space?

hi Lee, i purchased the ebook Welcome to Pump Track Nation a while back and am now scripting a proposal for our local parks. one concern is of course sustainability. i know that tracks treat their dirt with something to harden it up. do you know that is and have you used it?
thanks, john
With bike parks sprouting up in cities everywhere, we live in a wonderful time. Check out this gem in Leadville, CO.
Yesterday was a grand day to like bikes. We had sculpted jumps, perfect weather and a fun, supportive crew.
Lee,
I have read your mountain bike skills book cover to cover and learned a great deal. This last season I improved a ton, as a direct result of reading your book, and riding as much as I possibly could. I also started riding a motocross bike this year, and found it to be very different from Downhill Mountain Biking, although my basic mountain bike skills helped me quite a bit. You have posted a couple of things about moto skills, but I was wondering if you will ever write a book on moto skills and the correlations between mountain biking and moto? Thanks for everything you have done for riding.
Sincerely,
Daniel
hey lee, we just bought some new motos and are going to head out west to ride some desert trails soon. did you do any mods to your 450X? we ride the 450R on the tracks as supermotos and plan on using the 250X for the trail.
ciao

Hi Lee,
I am interested in purchasing a new DH race steed. I am a competitive expert racer and I was wondering if a 7-inch bike would be a major disadvantage on MSC and G3 racecourses. I am specifically looking at the Commencal Supreme DH, which I understand a few of the WC teams are running. However, I am still skeptical of a 7-inch Down Hill race frame. I am not the gutsiest or smoothest rider, but I very much enjoy going fast down a racecourse.
Thanks For Any Advice,
Jeff
P.S. I appreciate what you are doing for the mountain biking community!
Last Sunday I took a moto skills clinic with Scott Bright. Scott is the regional KTM sales rep and a pro off-road racer who teaches clinics with pro off-roader Steve Hatch. Scott was raising money to represent the United States at the International Six Days Enduro. Here are some of the things I learned, and some of things Scott reinforced.

Pump Track Nation is rolling stronger than ever. Here are a couple tasty examples, one from a pro BMXer and one from a pro landscaper.
A divorce, a new 250 motocross bike, a new way of life and — yeah — improved moto cornering form.
