What’s with Stacy Kohut’s FOURCROSS brakes?

Hey Lee,
I was just looking at Stacy Kohut’s website and i saw the picture of his ride and it has 2 brake levers on each side. I know exactly what this is for. Wouldn’t it be much simpler if someone were to make a brake line the spliced off into two separate lines so you can control both brakes with one lever?

Setting up a P.3

Lee, I am picking up a 2007 Specialized P.3 for dirt jumping, pump tracks, and park riding. I would like to get the bike as light as possible without jeopardizing the strength of the bike. As I look for a light weight fork which is still strong, I am considering: Fox Talas RLC, Rock Shox Pike (not sure which model would be best), Rockshox Argyle 409, or the Marzocchi DJ. Which would you advise if weight is one of my considerations? Also, do you have the build specs on your P.3?

Shorten travel on BigHit? No!

hello lee,

I’m a proud owner of a custom spec big hit 07.

and i thought if it is possibly to tune it more into a smaller bike (less travel). i know mark weir rides a vp free with fox 36.
my question is if it feels wired with 160 up front and 200 in the back. or can i get less travel in the back without killing the geo??

thanks

Two rides: Specialized Eskar Armadillo Elite 2.3 tires

I’ve been digging Specialized Resolution tires, but as cool as they are, Specialized is superseding them with the new Eskar. I got my mitts on a pair of the new meats, and here’s what I think after two XC rides.

Chris King headsets on Specialized bikes

Hey Lee I have an 07 Enduro SL Comp and I also have a bike I am parting out that has a new Chris King Headset in it. Will a standard Chris King 1-1/8″ fit the Enduro SL? I would like to switch it out before I sell the parts off if it will fit. The reason I ask is I have heard that Specialized uses a slightly oversized headset cup.

Thanks
Glen

Downsides of long stem?

Hey. So do you think a longer stem would make the bars turn funny, bunny hopping awkward and going over the bars more likely, or would it just give me more front wheel traction without affecting other stuff?
Thanks again,
Alex
