Whew! I got home late last night, then I taught a Core Skills clinic today, and now I’m packing to leave again. The Wife and I are spending the week in Martha’s Vineyard — no cell phone, no laptop style. The striped bass are hitting off the beach, and Lee Likes Surfcasting dot com!
To keep the site semi-fresh, I’ve scheduled a daily link that’ll take you deep into the 2004 archives, back when Lee Likes Bikes was first starting. There’s a lot of fun stuff on the original site. Have a look!
See you next week. I have awesome shots from the Olympic Training Center.

Lee, thanks for the answer! (Drops: Staying on flat pedals) I’m slowly getting the hang of this!!
In looking at all flat pedals out there, there seem to be quite a few concave pedals (e.g. Easton Flatboys) and pedals with totally straight bodies with no concavity (e.g. Twenty6, or Sunline) that get their concavity via arrangement of the pins. Any idea how important the concavity is in a flat pedal in order to stay in the pedals when things get rough/droppy?
It all starts April 12-13. Here’s the press release, written by me.

I’m contacting to get some info on properly setting up the bike for the most optimum position for DH racing. Right now, in all of my pictures, on more of the slower, more flat, or just not as technical sections, it looks as if I am standing straight up. My initial thought is the bike is too big for me. And a lot of others said it is as well. Also, I need a wider bar. I only have a 660mm on there, and I will be putting on a 710mm. But is there anything else that I should know to get this optimum position?

Two very different tires with a common mission: all-around, everyday riding that includes road, dirt jump, pump, trail and teaching clinics. I’ve spent a summer with both. Here’s the report:
