Gearing for DH race bike
Hi Lee.
I have a Demo 9 that I use for DH racing. Right now I have 34t chainring and an 11-34 cassette. I want to switch to a road cassette. Which one should I use?

Hey Agustin.
Try an 11-23.
The ratios will be almost identical to a 38t with a 12-26, which is popular among downhill racers.
Compared to a 38, the 34 slightly increases friction and the stress on your chain, but it’s lighter and it improves your clearance.
