Handlebar length for DJ/urban riding

I have a question. What width handle bars do you prefer. I am riding a hard tail with 24″ wheels. I just put a set of FSA DH400 bars on and they are crazy wide 28″ from the factory. What would you recommend for dirt jumping and urban riding?

Hi Rich from Virginia.

I’m 5-9. I cut my bars to 26″.

For me 26″ is a good combo of control and maneuverability. Specialized P.bikes are good examples of DJ/urban bikes, and they come with 26″ bars.

I suggest starting at 26″ then cutting from there if you want more maneuverability.
