Pump Track Nation goes to South Africa
I know I’m preaching to the choir, but pump tracks are so great. They build fitness and skill. They serve as community hubs. And they can be built just about anywhere at low cost. Check out these new Pumptopia tracks:
In Pretoria …
… Cycle Shack built this version of the Pumptopia ready-to-build pump track plan.
Rider: Joe Bester : Facebook : Twitter @MTB_JOE
Meanwhile in Kylemore …
… our friend, 7X world XTERRA champion and LLB kung fu student Conrad “The Caveman” Stoltz is building another Pumptopia. This gracious email just came in:
To: Lee McCormack
We, as the Trustees of the Banhoek Conservancy would like to thank you for generously providing your pump track design to our Organisation. (through Conrad Stoltz)
We are building the pump track to be used by the youth from the Kylemore community to develop cycling skills and provide them with an outlet to keep them occupied when not at school.
You may be aware that our community is plagued by a high unemployment rate and therefore a high crime and drug rate.
We have been making good progress on the building of the track, I have attached a few photos for you to see.
Kind Regards
The Trustees: Banhoek Conservancy
Wow, what a beautiful spot.
That looks like The Caveman Himself laying out the track.
One man on the ground and one in the machine works well.
These images come from Conrad’s Twitter feed.
Keep up the great work you guys. Pump Track Nation!
Lee
For a proven track check out the Pumptopia ready-to-build pump track plan. It costs just $20 and will save a lot of time with approvals and construction.
